Your role as a lighting technician

As a lighting technician with us, you are the key person who ensures that our productions have the perfect lighting design. You plan, optimize, and quality assure the technical delivery – always with artistic needs in focus.

Your tasks:

• Plan lighting design and act as a stage technician in selected productions
• Take on the role of stage master or tour leader as needed, reporting back to the producer
• Maintain and manage our modern lighting equipment
• Participate in technical work both on stage, in storage, and during tours

You will work with a large and modern technical park in well-equipped stage rooms and newly established storage facilities. The breadth of our operations gives you a unique opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the technical field.

Your qualifications

You have:

• Technical education in stage technology or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of the production processes in performing arts.
• Knowledge of lighting technology work within the performing arts field.
• Experience with light programming and performance operation.
• The ability and experience to quickly switch between tasks and roles.
• The ability to work persistently in a varied and sometimes fast-paced work environment.
• The ability to function both in a position of responsibility and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic safety work.
• Good prioritization skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Good competence in the Office suite or equivalent.
• Basic proficiency in Swedish and English.
• Good planning skills.
• A valid driver's license, minimum category B.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Experience working with Grand MA
• Experience working in Qlab.
• Experience working in Dante.
• Experience and knowledge from additional technical theater areas beyond lighting technology.
• Experience in touring operations.
• Forklift license.

Employment form

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. A probationary period may apply.
